Rattling round the house with only a dementing cat for company. That said, the last ten days with Will have been wonderful, and very busy. The best bits have been walking to Levens Hall in the Spring sunshine, being seriously anti-social and skipping the cast party after Ida, coming home instead to drink champagne with Will and watch ‘Oh What a Lovely War!’ Relaxation washed over me after the long, hard slog of directing: the champagne was to celebrate his successful audition.
Our trip to Stratford, for our double dose of Shakespeare, was marvellous. And although saying goodbye at the station always leaves me bereft, I grin every time I think that the next time I watch Shakespeare, Will will be in it.
Am thinking about a week in Cornwall to see him twice at Truro, and possibly a week at Bamburgh. Our visit to the WW1 battlefields of France has been postponed until October. Gives me plenty of time to read Sassoon and Graves.
