Had a wonderful 24 hours in Stratford. Saw Henry IV parts 1 and 2, matinee through to the evening. It was Press Night for both. Antony Sher relished every moment of Falstaff, a richly- coloured performance, plenty of light and dark, and well-doused in comedy.
Thoroughly enjoyed the wild excesses of Alex Hassell’s Prince Hal and the manic energy of Trevor White as Hotspur. The fight scenes were stunning.
